2nd Grade constructing our town!

Mrs. Wyatt's class has begun the construction of their town. We are starting with a foreground, middle ground, and background, and will be adding our architecture and details.

More 3rd grade stitching!

4th grade Gicometti sculptures

After practicing drawing the human figure by gesture drawing, we are now working to build sculpture (3D representations) of human forms like the artist Gicometti.

2nd grade architecture collage

We are using our paint factory painting to assemble 2D collage buildings for a town. We each have a different kind of building to construct!

4th grade figure sculpture

We are starting to construct Gicometti-style human sculptures using a skeleton of pipe cleaners with a skin of tin foil. We're working to create a form that bends and appears like an exaggerated human.

2nd grade Paint Factory!

We are learning about collaborative art-making. This week, the students are creating many different types of paintings with various tools. They will share their papers to create collage architecture next week!

3rd grade Stitching

We are binding books in the coming weeks, but starting by making burlap book covers with decorative stitching. We're focusing on viewing our stitching sessions as relaxing, meditative personal time.
