Art: Kindergarten Architecture!

We are tracing and drawing from imagination to create cities in the style of artist James Rizzi. Today we started painted them with a new tool: watercolor crayons!

Today the METS students in Ms. Smith's class are using the color wheel to mix their own shades and tints, and they are painting their ceramic clay pots.

Art: 4th grade printmaking

Today we did steps 4 and 5 of the studio process. First we critiqued our own work to pick our favorite print, and then we added finishing touches to the artwork using colored pencils.

The 4th graders are printing this week. They're marking their prints with fractions to track the edition and accurately represent each print's value.
