Art: 4th grade printmaking

Today we did steps 4 and 5 of the studio process. First we critiqued our own work to pick our favorite print, and then we added finishing touches to the artwork using colored pencils.

The 4th graders are printing this week. They're marking their prints with fractions to track the edition and accurately represent each print's value.

Art: METS fingerpainting!

Our METS students are new to school, and missed out on all of the fundamental art lessons and experimenting that the younger kids get to experience in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Today we used fingerpaints for a sensory experience, and practiced mixing some colors and using BBQ skewers as creation tools.
