The Wheaton HS Community Art Show!

Ms. Wenger and I could not be more proud of all of Shriver ES's artists, and the artists whose work was chosen for the community art show. It was so exciting to meet families and talk about art tonight! Congratulations, young artists!

2nd grade mobiles

The kids are learning about mobile sculptures and the art of Alexander Calder. They made connections between mobile phones, automobiles, and mobile sculptures, and figured out that art mobiles can MOVE! They're starting by making some paper shapes that are attached to wire.

1st grade books

We are using a variety of media to write and illustrate in our books!

Kindergarten curls!

The kids are learning how to transform 2d (two-dimensional) paper shapes into 3d (three-dimensional) paper forms! They're starting by curling the paper.

4th grade Pop Portraits

We learned about Warhol's famous repeating portraits, and started our own versions using glued paper.
